W3 is an architecture and art practice which values imagination, culture, quality practical design, natural processes, conscious uses of technology, and socially and environmentally sustainable systems. The practice is based in Auckland, Aotearoa /New Zealand, and managed by Sammy Ho.
Sammy provides architectural and art services to add value to projects. He can assist clients from families wishing to improve or build their homes with varying budgets and requirements, to large organisations and developers managing multiple buildings and spaces. Some of these services include project establishment, masterplanning , feasibility studies, concept to detailed design and documentation, BIM modelling, virtual reality simulations, mapping, conceptual visualisation, and a tool developed by Sammy to assist with the ongoing life cycle of teams, buildings and spaces, OURCOLLECTIVE.SPACE. He is currently focusing on residential, education, recreation, and healthcare areas, and extends his art services to all organisations to collectively move to more sustainable systems. He has a strong emphasis on research and development which has led to innovative tools that assist with design, communications and community facilitation. Sammy has collaborated with architects, artists, designers, planners, engineers, suppliers, fabricators and contractors on building developments and art projects in Aotearoa and Sweden.
W3 is an NZIA practice member, an incorporated society which acquires and shares knowledge to advance the practice of Architecture. Sammy is a Registered Architect under the NZRAB statutory entity, where architects are bound by a code of ethics and required to stay current through professional development activities.
